9/9/07 'Winter Morning' by Ursula Reese PAC SCA Ursula Reese PAC SCA, passed away quietly at her home, in her sleep in her 72th year, September 9th, 2007. Dearly beloved of Tomo Kalaba, her loving soul mate and husband, sister to Helmut Stroisch, Hamburg, Germany, stepmother to Andrew Reese, Hershey, PA USA. A respected passionate artist, Ursula will be remembered by the many people whose lives she touched with her art and mentorship; founder of Pastel Artists Canada, past director of IAPS and co-creator of the IAPS Web site, Past President of Central Ontario Art Association, member of East Central Ontario Art Association, Society of Canadian Artists, charter member of the Milton Fine Arts Society and most recently South Simcoe Palette Club.

"Ursula had a passion for painting in pastel and a knack for sharing that passion with others, myself being one of many. She will be so much missed and remembered for her amazing interpretations of Algonquin Park, Ontario, in particular, and its ever changing moods. My friend remembered always." Rosemary Simpson

"In Ursula's passing, we have lost a dear friend and a wonderful artist. I shall always remember her dedication to IAPS and pastel in general. She gave so much to others; she has earned the right to now paint with the other great artists in heaven as she has reached the state of perfection. She will always have a place in my heart." Urania Christy Tarbet
