Michael Skalka received an undergraduate degree in Art History from Rutgers University and an MFA from Syracuse University. Currently employed at the National Gallery of Art in Washington D.C and oversees the Modern Art Materials Collection and Study Center. He is also the task chair for the ASTM Pastel Standard.
