The International Association of Pastel Societies' Sixth
Biennial International Convention held May 6-8, 2005
in Raleigh, North Carolina was a resounding hit with all who attended.
"We come together to celebrate the joy of pastel with nationally and
internationally known artists sharing their talents through hands-on workshops,
visual demonstrations, lectures and seminars."

This year the grand opening demonstrator was celebrated Albert Handell PSA and
keynote speaker M. Stephen Doherty, active outdoor painter and Editor in Chief of
American Artist, plus many other publications.
Pre-conference workshops and workshops were led by Margaret Evans, Duane Wakeham,
Richard McDaniel and Brenda Mattson. Other workshop/lecture notables included:
Greg Biolchini PSA, Bill Creevy PSA, Alan Flattmann PSA, Glenna Hartmann, Ann Heywood,
L. Diane Johnson, Jack Pardue PSA, Maggie Price, Bob Rohm OPA PSA, Pat Suggs PSA
