IAPS CONVENTION 2003 REPORT

The International Association of Pastel Societies' Fifth Biennial International Convention held May 9-11, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico was a resounding success.

All of the demonstrators participated in the Instructor's Exhibit, and work by Frank Federico was sold.

Almost all of the member societies in the US and Canada participated in the Member Society Exhibition. Two paintings were sold - one by Frederick Sommers representing Lake Country Pastel Society and another by Nora d'Aragon representing New Mexico Pastel Society.

The People's Choice Award winner of $100 was Federick Sommers. Thanks to all of you who worked so hard in getting your work to Albuquerque. It was a lovely exhibit, and the voting was close among several pieces.

The links below represent a summary of some of the many highlights experienced at the 2003 convention.
