Society History and Purpose

The Pastel Society of Society of New Hampshire (PSNH) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the appreciation of soft pastels as a fine art medium. Founded in January 2006 by a group of pastel artists, the purpose of our society is to foster connections among pastelists of all levels throughout New Hampshire, the New England region and other states. All pastel artists are welcome and encouraged to join.

Society Activities

PSNH offers quarterly Membership meetings, which include demonstrations, guest speakers, critique sessions, painting workshops, and discussions of art-related topics. We publish a bi-monthly newsletter about pastels, exhibits, workshops, grant opportunities, Society news and members’ news. We have an annual Members Show and an annual National Juried Exhibition (“It’s Pastel”). We showcase Members paintings on our Website.

Membership Information

The membership fee for an individual is $25 yearly. For further information regarding membership visit or contact our Membership Chair.
