Mission Statement

We seek to unite artists from beginner to professional who are interested in the pastel medium. We encourage artistic growth and development through education and sharing. We strive to create public awareness of pastel as a unique and beautiful art form.

The LCPS meetings offer demonstrations, guest speakers, critique sessions, and topics to further member’s artistic skills. Meetings are held in the Minneapolis, St Paul area in the evening on the second Tuesday of the following months: January, March, May, July, September and November.

The Lake Country Pastel Society sponsors yearly exhibits. Our newsletters are packed with interesting articles and information about pastels, exhibits, workshops, grant opportunities, and classes. Members are encouraged to share their news, experiences and ideas in the newsletter.
