Opening Reception Wednesday, June 1, 2011 • 5:00-8:00 p.m.
Exhibition Hours:
Thursday, June 2 through Sunday, June 5,
10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The two exhibitions will be displayed in the Hispanic Arts Building, on the grounds of Expo New Mexico, just a few miles from the convention hotel. This spacious, well-lit facility will comfortably hold both exhibitions with ample room for visitors to enjoy the outstanding display of pastel artwork. IAPS Eighteenth Juried Exhibition
Jurors for the 18th Juried Exhibition will be Anne Hevener, Desmond O'Hagan and Rita Kirkman. Prizes will be awarded: Prix de Pastel ($1,000), Gold Award ($500), Silver Award ($250) and Bronze Award ($150), plus up to four Honorable Mentions. The judge of awards will be Liz Haywood-Sullivan. Approximately 85 paintings will be included in this exhibition.
The First Master Circle Exhibition
All of the members of the IAPS Master Circle (including those who have qualified for membership and are scheduled to receive their Medallions at the 2011 Convention) will be invited to submit one painting to this exhibition. The exhibition will be judged by Elizabeth Mowry, with cash awards equaling those in the Juried Exhibition. Approximately 45 paintings will be included in this exhibition.
The 2011 Poster Competition
A Commemorative Poster will be produced for the 2011 Convention, available for purchase at the Convention. Finalist images have been selected and can be viewed here; the winner will be revealed at the Convention.
