This is an exciting new themed exhibit that will be open to members of the five pastel societies in New England as well as artists who reside in the region. The show will run nearly 4 months and will be held at the Art Complex Museum in Duxbury, MA. The pronouncement "I'm from New England" is likely to evoke a mélange of images – lobsters and lighthouses, Red Sox and Rhode Island Reds, Green Mountains and White Mountains, prep schools and Patriots, coastlines and covered bridges, small town scenes and salt water taffy, beaches, barns, birds and bogs. These types of subjects have inspired generations of artists and writers; the Pastel Painters Society of Cape Cod is challenging the best of New England contemporary artists to capture the essence of New England in the pastel
